Dr. Daniel Krivoy, MD, joins Ophthalmotronics Management Team

10/7/2005 -- Dr. Daniel Krivoy who is an ophthalmologist microsurgeon and a Glaucoma specialist has joined the management team of Ophthalmotronics Corporation as the President of Scientific Advisory Board.
Dr. Krivoy completed two years of clinical and research sub-specialty fellowships in Glaucoma and Ocular Imaging at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary under the direction of Drs. Robert Ritch and Jeffrey Liebmann. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the New York Medical College after a Medical-Surgical Transitional internship at St. Barnabas Medical Center-Mount Sinai Medical School in New Jersey and was certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology in 2001.
Dr. Krivoy’s extensive involvement in academic activities include holding the title of Assistant Professor of the Department of Ophthalmology at the New York Medical College, where he acted as Director of the Glaucoma Service at Metropolitan Hospital in New York City, a teaching hospital of the ophthalmology residency program. He has lectured and has presented numerous scientific papers nationally and internationally. He has been a frequent participant at joint events of the Pan-American Association of Ophthalmology and the American Academy of Ophthalmology as a glaucoma expert and has made significant contributions to the residency training programs in Venezuela in the area of glaucoma through the Venezuelan Society of Ophthalmology. He has also carried out volunteer work abroad.
Dr. Krivoy recently re-located to the Los Angeles area to start a private practice, and continues to teach residents as a Clinical Instructor in Ophthalmology at the UCLA School of Medicine. Dr. Krivoy now chairs the Scientific Advisory Board of an innovative medical device company.
